The meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of permanent delegates in its extraordinary session

On 23 February 2023, the Council of the League of Arab States convened an extraordinary session at the level of its Permanent Representatives upon the request of the State of Palestine, which garnered unanimous support from all Arab countries. The convocation was held to deliberate on the collective Arab and international efforts required to counter the cruel Israeli aggression on the city of Nablus and the occupied Palestinian territories, and to appeal for the provision of international protection for the Palestinian people. The meeting was chaired by the State of Libya, and attended by His Excellency Ambassador Hossam Zaki, the Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, alongside the Permanent Representatives and heads of delegations. The council paid homage to the martyrs with a moment of silence. The meeting culminated in the issuance of the ensuing resolutions:
